Muskoseepi Park hosted the first-ever Youth Fest June 25 with talent, games and food galore. The thunder rolled in just as the event started at 5 p.m. and rained enough to cancel the scheduled 3-on-3 basketball tournament, but the storm broke early in the evening and hundreds were treated to words from notable speakers from around the community and a talented lineup of young musicians throughout the night. The QuarterZips laid down a solid groove, while Kinlee Reaugh,belted it out with some passion on the Muskoseepi stage during the talent show. Organizer EJ Iago said he was happy with the result, and the turnout, and said the basketball tournament will be rescheduled soon.
