Over 700 young athletes from over 100 wrestling clubs from across the country faced off at the Design Works Centre in Grande Prairie for the 2026 Canadian Wrestling Championships from April 24 to 26. 2026 marked the first year the championships were held in Grande Prairie. While wrestlers from every province came out to the championship, including wrestlers from the Yukon and Northwest Territories, Grande Prairie Wrestling Club member Jaren Alaimoana would wind up taking the silver in the men’s U19 110-kilogram category in both freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling.
