The Town of Sexsmith lit up like a beautiful Christmas star last Thursday.

The evening saw wagon rides, hot chocolate, singing and bonfires come to Main Street, while Santa Claus himself even made an appearance at the gazebo to greet the local kids.

The evening saw a massive turnout, with both residents and guests from afar coming to attend the events hosted that night.

The Light Up kicked off Christmas in Sexsmith, which was hosted in the town from Thursday to Saturday.

A farmer’s market and Christmas market were hosted at the town civic centre and old fire hall, respectively, while the Sexsmith Museum opened its doors for visitors and local businesses opened their doors for special holiday sales.
