Remembrance Day Ceremonies in the Peace

Indigenous Veterans Day

The day recognizes and remembers First Nations, Métis, and Inuit soldiers who have fought and lost their lives, and the treatment they faced after returning home.

Grande Prairie

The outdoor Remembrance Day ceremony in Grande Prairie started with parade down 100 St. To the Cenotaph in Jubilee Park. 

The ceremony was hosted by the Army, Navy, and Air Force Veterans In Canada (ANAVETS) Unit 389.

Local cadets, and emergency services were in attendance along with a large crowd.

Afterwards refreshments and sandwiches were available at the ANAVETS building. 

The Grande Prairie Legion also hosted a ceremony at Bonnetts Energy Centre.
