Official municipal election results

The official results of the 2025 municipal and school trustee elections were released on Friday, Oct. 24.

Many councillors were sworn into office on Monday. 

(I) means incumbent.

Town of Beaverlodge

Mayor: Gary Rycroft (I) - 399

Councillors: Trevor Bartsch - 382, Hugh Graw (I) - 353, Richard Lappenbush - 295, Tyke Longmore - 285, Judy Kokotilo-Bekkerus (I) – 266, Jennifer Wolan - 241

The Town of Beaverlodge says that 514 residents cast their vote at polls resulting in a voter turnout of about 34 per cent. 

Town of Sexsmith

Mayor: Kate Potter Acclaimed

Councillors: Pauline Nelson - 236, Chrystal Widsten - 222, Daycie Bohning (I) - 196, Bruce Black (I) - 186, Ken Hildebrand (I) - 180, Dennis Stredulinsky (I) - 174

The Town of Sexsmith says it has a voter turnout of 17.5 per cent with 347 residents casting ballots.

On Monday council elected Amanda Frayn, now using the surname McDonald, as reeve, while Bob Chrenek will serve as deputy reeve.
