The Rio Grande Rodeo returned over the weekend and marked its 108 years of operation. Muddy grounds didn’t stop many competitors from trying their best in a variety of events. Some chuckwagon events were cancelled due to the muddy conditions.

Students celebrated the beginning of summer break and end of the school year with a water fight on June 26. Some of Wembley’s young residents were ready with water balloons with their teachers names on them. The Wembley Fire Department ensured no one was dry after a splash with their hoses.
