
Thursday marked the official lighting of the Christmas lights in Sexsmith.

After Mayor Kate Potter and her daughter Lilly did the countdown to turn the lights on, the carollers began to sing.

Bonfires along the town’s main street kept people warm while handwarmers were also handed out.



Shops and restaurants were filled with visitors. The library showcased its mini art show with a variety of tiny canvases.

Carollers from the Mountview Fellowship Bible Church choir sang classic Christmas carols after the lights lit up Main Street Sexsmith on Thursday evening.
Horse-drawn sleigh rides were given through the town.
Shops offered hot chocolate and warm cider as patrons visited shop to shop.
