Town of Wembley has acclaimed a mayor and six councillors:
Mayor: Kelly Peterson Acclaimed. Councillors: Shaun Baker (I), Dick M. Barendregt, Robert Berlasty (I), Rebecca Ketchum (I), Tanya Skinner (I) and Bailee Wills.
County of Grande Prairie will elect seven councillors, from which a reeve will be selected by council.

Saddle Hills County will elect councillors for five wards, from them council will select the reeve.

Peace Wapiti Public School Division: Ten nominations were received for the nine wards. Seven wards were acclaimed by their nominees, there will be one election for Ward 7

Grande Prairie Roman Catholic Separate School Division has two Wards.

Amendments to the Local Authorities Election Act required voters to register to vote in a Municipal Election and for the municipality to prepare a permanent elector register. The list of registered voters is provided to the municipality under a Data Sharing Agreement with Elections Alberta.
The cut-off for advance voter registration was Aug. 15; voters who have not registered will be required to register at the voting station and must bring the appropriate identification.
